On December 15, 2014, a group of Cree youth arrived in Montreal after having walked nearly 850 KM from Mistissini, QC, in order to oppose uranium mining on Cree territory. In Montreal, they marched from Papineau metro to the BAPE (Bureau d’audiences publiques sur l’environment) hearings at a hotel downtown to deliver their message. They were joined by over 100 other Montrealers and Indigenous people from other nations.
